Auger boring a 300 mm dia ductile iron minewater delivery pipeline under the main Nottingham-London railway tracks.

The Annesley/Bentinck Colliery treatment system in Nottinghamshire comprises a series of aeration channels and settlement ponds on a colliery spoil heap at Annesley colliery. The discharge of around 100 litres/sec gravitates into a buried 300 mm dia pipeline, 18 km long which discharges to the major dilution afforded by the River Trent. Supplementary pumping assistance is available for increase in discharge quantity.

The pipeline was laid along active railway tracks including the main London to Nottingham line to progress through urban areas of Nottingham.
